hi all. new to the site and not a MINI owner yet but i luv em'. from what i've read the gas milage is superb and i think they're the hottest little cars around. one reservation i have, however, is that i'm 6'2" 210lbs. i haven't taken one for a test drive yet, as i won't be purchasing one for another few months, and I don't want to look like an idiot trying to get in. should i give up on my dream of owning the midget machine or are they roomier than they look? all responses welcome.

Well you are slim compared to me. I am almost 6'2" and wiegh in at 235 (I am a fatt ****) and I have no trouble getting in and out. My brother is 6'4" and he has no troubles and my father is 6'4" and close to 300 lbs and he says it has more room up front then my old 2002 taurus. People always ask me how I fit, i just get in and show them

Welcome to MCO Kodiak,

The MINI has more than enough rooom for us "normal" (read 6"2" and taller) folks.

I am 6"4" and have to move the seat up a few notches or I can't reach the pedals comfortably. My Brother in law, 6"6 saw my mini for the first time yesterday and was amazed with the leg and headroom.

The only think I would do when you test drive one is check out the headroom diference between cars with the sunroof and without. I went without the sunroof.

Good luck,

Andy

My husband is 6'6" and is very comfortable driving my MINI. It has plenty of legroom and headroom (even with the sunroof). Keep in mind, though, that when you tall folks are up front, there may not be any legroom for the seat behind you!

OK...I know I can make you feel better about this....

They are roomier than they look....by alot. Everyone that gets in my car says so. Anyway....my boyfriend, who often rides in and drives my MINI is almost 6 foot 7 and he fits in there very comfortably.

Now go get your MINI!

I am not L.Mini's boyfreind  but I am 6'7" and the car is very comfortable. More comfortable than my previous car, a Buick!

Although the back seat behind me is virtually useless if I drive, it has made for people becoming more aquainted by one lying across another, with their legs on anothers lap.

I'm 6' tall and found no issues. I also, as the others here had a guy that is like 65 or some such get in and be pleasantly surprised. I, nor he ever intend to ride in the back, but that is a different story.

My girlfriend and I are both 6'2". I weigh in at about 220+ lbs. As others have mentioned, we have more room upfront than we actually need - I have to pull the seat forward a bit to comfortably reach the pedals.

I've also had 4 6-foot+ people in the MINI at one time, and it wasn't too bad. I wouldn't want to car pool with all those folks every day, but for occasional jaunts, it's not bad.

Greetings All,
Have an Electric Blue MCS on order from East Bay MINI. I'm 6'8" and 270 lbs. and had a real hard time figuring out what I wanted (or fit into) for a new car. I work at a Nissan store so I tried the 3.5 Altima, and the 2004 Maxima. They have less front seat room than a MINI.
Can't wait 'till December !!!!

The MINI has more than enough room to carry two large adults in complete comfort.

I'm late to the thread but I am 6'4"with a 36" inseam. I am extremely comfortable. I have the same amount of room as my '03 Exployer and if by chance I am in the copilots seat, I have more leg room than my wife's '03 Bonneville.

Once you go MINI you will never go back.

Peace Out

You will be pleasently surprised at the room inside the Mini, even at your size. I'm 6-0 and weigh 235 and I have more than enough room.

2650 miles with a 6' something guy. I'm 6'0". I slept outside on the ground, he stayed in the car.

Room is NOT a problem here: Trip to Hudson Bay
look howmuch room we have: (ok, it was a very wide lens. Still, not a problem.)

I'm not that tall (5'9&quot but I am voluminous at 300lb. No problems. Remember that the classic Mini was designed to maximize internal space, and the new MINI is significantly larger than the old one.
A friend of mine in Australia who is 6'5" successfully had sex with his gf in a classic Mini.
