This may be old news to some of you, but I just stumbled on this great resource:

North American Sport Bike Road Registry

Listed by State/Province, you'll find some of the best roads recommended for sportbikes. And we all know that our MINIs love the same roads as the bikes.

I'm heading out next weekend to Ricketts Glen State Park in Pa to see their 23 waterfalls and with this guide, I now know where some of the best twisties in the area are located.

Thanks, Har. I just bought a Kawasaki Concours and I am leaving on an extended roadtrip in a few days so that is a great site for me. I was looking at a BMW 1150RT but with the pending legal troubles for BMW regarding their copyright infringment of the Steak and Shake logo I decided against it.

VAmini:

I was on vacation in Southwest Colorado last week and the number of twisties is amazing, the one mentioned from Durango to Ouray is terrific, also from Ouray to Telluride & Durango to Telluride.

Unfortunately I was in my SUV with my family and I keep saying while driving, "Damn, I wish I had the MINI".....my wife's response was always, "Honey, you really dont' wish you were on this vacation without me and the kids do you"
I bit my lip a couple times..

Since we go on this trip every summer to escape the Phoenix heat, I suggested to my wife, maybe next year we could tow the MINI up on a trailer....she then looked at me like I had finally lost it...lol.

Actually you need both, the MINI for the highway curves and the SUV for the unbelievable off roading like Black Bear Pass....just incredible country...amazingly I did not see one MINI, but saw tons of Bikes, both on road and off....

Any MINI's out there make these drives, would love to hear????

Cheers !

Forgot to mention...funny story...I did see a Cayenne S in telluride, the 450 hp SUV from Porsche....The owner was parked waiting for his wife or girlfriend and I asked him how was it off road. He looked at me like I was from Mars and said "You really don't think I'm going to take a $90K automobile off road do you?" I looked right back at him and responded "well of course that makes perfect sense..lol ! Like I've said before people don't buy Rolex watches to tell time and many don't buy Porches for performance

Actually, I'm getting together a drive this weekend in southwest VA where I live and we're incorporating 3 of the mentioned drives in VA from the Miata site, plus a few others I know. Hopefully I'll take the time to get some pics!

These websites are great resources! I wonder how long it will take for someone to come up with http://www.MINIdrives.com!

Thanks for the reference. Unfortunately, Oregon and Washington were sadly underrepresented. I guess I'll have to fix this.
