Yes, there are quite a few threads about this topic, including stumble and AC power loss related threads. Other key words under which this has been reported are DSC and AST. Do a search and you should find quite a few!

No. I can even ease the clutch out with no throttle at all. then nail it ... the result is smooth as a bare baby's butt all the way to redline. Born 6/02. God I love it. In fact I can pull from 800rpm or so in any gear ( onlevel ground ) to redline or terminal speed with no problem. If you ever have to chose between being good or being lucky, chose lucky. Anyboby can practice and be good. Larry Bird proved that. Wish we had a spell checker. But what do I know, I'm an old man.

The ECU definitely doesn't like it when you floor the gas after popping the clutch.
The long-term review on Edmunds mentioned the lack of power in 1st gear under 2k RPMs so it didn't shock me. I just adjusted my style a bit. That was on my test drive - I'm waiting to see how my own car works out.
So yes, there is a relative lack of power in the low RPMs, which is a different condition than the out-and-out lurches and stumbles others have been experiencing, possibly due to bad fuel according to my chemist/fuel expert friend. Play it safe and smooth and the car responds just fine.
