I just bought an 04 MCS a little over a month ago and have put over 2.5k miles on it and am currently at 106,050 miles on the vehicle. LOVE THIS CAR TO DEATH. Fits my saxes. Have yet to try and get all 4 and flute and clarinet in at once.... but I'm certain it'll be fine. Haha. I'm ready to drop in some aftermarket engine pulleys in order to extend performance and life. Any one have a favorite brand and why?

My R53 is the only car I've ever owned that I can't help but take one last look at when I'm walking away. The go-cart like handling, whine of the SC and crackle and pop from the resonator deleted JCW system just seal the deal even further.... quite happy to keep this baby going indefinitely!

I have a red 04 Cooper S with sprintex supercharger, water methanol kit, custom intake, 19mm rear sway bar, 75,000 miles on the clock i plan on keeping and modding till i die or it falls apart.

I also have a blue 06 Cooper S with 27,000 miles that is completely stock for the moment that i plan on lightly modding and driving till i die or it falls apart.

With the appearance of the Gen 3, forever doesn't seem long enough. Between me and the local indie, we should exceed forever with ease.

Unless I magically find $100,000 laying around to buy hubby and I brand new Minis just how we want them, my 05 is sticking around forever and a day. I've dropped too much into her to give her up lol

I don't know where in this thread I posted a couple of years ago, but mine was going to be with me forever until some lady ran a red light and cut INDI's time short. And when you're driving an old car that's not worth a lot, it doesn't take much to put it over the edge.

Sorry to see an Indi Blue have a problem. Such a unique color. Ours has been with us 10 years now and no plans to part with it. Maybe in another 10 years I will think about getting the CVT replaced. Other than that it is wash, wax, change the oil and enjoy it.

jbKone,
My sympathies! Wow, a sad photo indeed. I trust you came out better than the MINI.

I'm on record for keeping my Clubman forever, but I would look at the F56 in a few years if they still have Iced Chocolate. Hmmm, I wonder how Iced Chocolate compares to Hot Chocolate... Anyone know?

I just bought a '13 Hardtop that is white over iced chocolate. Ice chocolate is darker. In certain lighting it almost looks black.

What I said back on post 51 still holds today. And now I have 131000 on the clock and still going strong.

Here is another that want to keep it "forever" (if I can). I sold my '08 R56 Cooper and bought a 05 R53 Indy Blue to do it.
