ONE BALL EXHAUST= Poor MPG

One balled the mini babes exhaust. Probably a week or two ago. I have been using more gas than usual. A noticeable amount more. Now when im driving it hard i dont expect good gas mileage, but iv been babying my last quarter of a tank, and boy is it going away very quick.

So does anyone else have noticeably worse gas mileage after there oneball mod?

Mine has it, and the average consuming is 30.5 MPG. Well this is driving at medium-normal (Not more than 65 mph in highway (average), and sometimes pushing hard to hear the noise of the SC (not more than 5000 rpm).

So you didnt experience a drop, did you have all of your stuff welded or clamped?

I did not see any difference in MPG with the one ball.

NO drop on mine. I have always had bad gas MPG. 22mpg when I am really good. I am going to get this checked out asap. Had nothing to do with the one ball.

you are probably pushing the skinny pedal more and harder to hear the sound.. LOL
i did that on my vette.. put the borla stinger exhaust on and i just love to hear it.. more volume.. less MPG

I've seen no difference, and I've been recording my mileage since the 2K point.

+1 for wvphoto. I'd be willing to bet on more active use of the loud pedal. It doesn't take many firm presses to affect mileage.

In general, the needle always drops the quickest closer to the end of the tank. The only way to measure is fill up and calculate mileage. One ball shouldn't have any particular effect, and it's too early for RFG (Reformulated Gas for winter) to play an effect. But depending where you are, weather (cold) could be a factor.

it shouldn't hurt your mpg at all.. actually it might improve it a bit (having removed that 20+lbs resonator)

my mpg is about the same i think..

My car gets slightly better mileage one-balled, 30 lbs less weight, and free-er flowing exhaust should equate to more MPGs.

But besides that, best 80 bucks I have ever spent on the car! Sounds awesome for what it is
