My MINI can no longer be tracked due to a blown transmission seal. I now have a 86 porsche 944 turbo as a track car. I still own the MINI. The handling difference between the cars is insane though. The porsche is faster through the straights, but nothing compared to the MINI's rabbit like handling.

 

Just wondering...given that you can afford to own and track both a MINI and a classic Porsche, it's hard to believe that the tranny repair would be out of your reach.

I'd even sell the 944 to get the MINI back up and operational if necessary. Not optimal, but you do what you have to do...

I got the seal fixed, but the dealer was starting to ask if the car had been tracked, and I don't want to risk losing my warranty.

 

Ahhh...that explains your initial reluctance.

Glad your Justa is back up and fully functional. Do the dealer guys ever show up at your track?

 

If they do i don't know about it. But they noticed rubber on the inside of my fenders...i guess i should have scraped that off.
