We still have The Italian Job in theaters around here.(Southern Indiana). I bought the soundtrack on CD and the Playstation game the day after I saw the movie. :smile:

 

I just picked up the latest copy of Mini World...it has a five-page spread on TIJ (lots of pics) along with a double-sided poster insert. Mini World is a British mag, so the article talks a lot about the original IJ and its iconic status, and how the thinking on the new film evolved from that. Lots of quotes from the stars and producers and lots about how they love Mini/MINIs! Really, it is unlike any article I've seen over here in the US....well worth a browse.

The thing that stood out to me was how HUGE IJ is in Britain....I had no idea!!! I can't think of a direct comparison in the US! (..so sorry if we dissed your film, mates!...we just need some education)

Our local club is planning a movie night when the DVD set comes out soon. Can't wait!!!

Thanks for the heads up! I have been waiting a long time for it, guess they are going to release it with TIJ2.
