Its the brake replacement light, mine is on right now, if you change the brakes and the light is still on, you didnt replace it with a new sensor, which is like 20 bucks i think. There is a way you can just ground the wire tho, so the light is off, just keep a mental note on how long u drive on those pads, check em in a while.

mine just came on..
i only have 35k miles on the oem pads so far..
i do have green stuff brake pads that has about 90% left
so i can switch the oem ones with those..
but my question is..the sensor wire or wear-sensors..does autozone carry it? i have no clue wat it looks like or where it goes..
some insight on this would be greatly appreciated

BUT...has this lite been on since you changed pads? The lite would come on when the sensor was activated by the pad wearing down. As I read your post you have changed pads, they still have 90% left and NOW the lite came on. If that's so...you have a different problem cuz the sensors (rt front and left rear btw) should not have kicked in at this time.... do you have EBC at all 4 corners?
Actualy...your post is a wee bit cornfusing . . .

oh no no..i have "new" pads with about 90% left that i want to change.. sorry for my confusing post..
and i only have front two pads..but i took a look at my brake pads..and they are REALLY low..as to why the light came on..
so let's say if i replace my brake pads with the ebc ones..do i have to get the brake sensors?
or will it automatically know that the brakes arent low anymore?
thanks for the help guys!

I was able to find my front one at NAPA. But I have seen them on eBay all the time even cheaper. Even in sets of front and rear.
I believe that what happens is that the brake pad gets thin enough that the Bubble of plastic on the sensor touches the Rotor and then wears it off and breaks the wire continuity. So to defeat it I think you can simply strip the wires and twist the wires back together and go through the reset procedure and that would kill the light. If I am correct that it is a normally closed loop system and it senses the break in the wire as its trigger that is. But you wouldn't have the sensor anymore if you did this. Simple to plug a new on in but you need to do it while you have the calipers off.

I don't think that wear items are covered under warranty. But the Mini brakes are nothing special really. Any brake place can do them. They might not be aware of the sensor so it would have to either be pointed out to them ahead of time that they need one or provided by you. And you might have to explain the light reset procedure to them or do it yourself. Thats what I had to do. My normal alignment brake place did mine for me.
