Am I crazy?

I really want to attend the MITM IV this summer but i live in virginia and plan on driving to copper mountain in my 02 mcs. is anyone else but me crazy enough to even think about doing this?

Not as far as you, but I did it from WI 2 years ago. I am thinking about going again this summer.

I remember that there were people at MITM 1 from the east coast; not sure about the other two years.

I'll be driving from IL, but that's only about 1K miles.

You could trailer the MINI behind the LR3 and enjoy all of the CO roads.

Too much gas and liability to have the car towed behind a SUV.

The MINI was made to be driven! If I were you, I would not think twice about making the cross country drive
