>>I think the FX looks "Gaudy" but in a different sort of way from, say, a Cadillac Escalade.

>>I think the FX looks cool, but much prefer the Murano cousin. I have read reports on lack of storage and rear passenger space in the FX which I find a bit disconcerting because this pretty much defeats the purpose of having a luxury "SUV".

The FX/Murano are lifted Altimas...not exactly an "SUV"...just big cars. I'm definitely in the "FX looks awesome club," but I'm not too hot on the Murano. I also love the Escalade too. Dress either in black with a nice wash/wax + tire dressing and they're like diamonds on wheels. Same goes for my freshly washed MCS, of course. In addition, in the case of the FX (and MINI), it's nice to see production cars that come with the nice sporty/large wheels that the concept versions usually sport, but often get washed out in the cost cutting.
In summation, I think the general concensus is that it sure is great to have choices...love it or hate it.
