Wheel shaken problem

I just put a new set of tires on my 06MCS and I start to have some problem with the new tires. I have them balance three times already and I still have a little vibration when it gets to 55-70, and once I got over 80 everything seems fine. I wonder there is anything else I need to look into it. The tire shop are start to think I am crazy.

If it just happened after getting new tires and they balanced them 3 times one of the tires could be defective. Have them rotate the tires and see if you can single out the bad tire/wheel. Are you running on stock rims? If not you might want to check the hub centric rings to make sure they are not deformed or even there.

thank you for the tip Rossii. I am running on the stock rims and also I did rotate the tires, the problems stay the same, it really take away the fun of driving my car. I might take it to different tire shop to re-balance the tire (last try). I hope that will solve the problem.

Make sure the shop is using a road force balancing machine and not just spin balancing them. That will help ID if you have a defective tire.

Thank you Paul. You guys are great and at least don't think I am crazy. I am going to rebalance them during my lunch break, my last choice will be Mini dealer if the problem does not get slove today. It does drive like a MINI anymore after the new tires (Nitto Neogen 215/45/17). Have a great day!

Love my NeoGens... have had NO problems with them.

But DID have a bad Goodyear F1 AS that would balance, but failed road force testing, which would create the kind of speed-sensitive shimmy you're seeing.

If you end up finding the tire balance is OK, you might want to have the alignment checked. When my toe was incorrect (way toed-in), I would get a shimmy at about 70 MPH.

HI guys, I am happy to report -problem fixed! Three technicians working together this time, it was off 0.5oz on the right wheel to causing the problem, rotate wheels, they also remount the tire just to make sure everything is done correctly. My Mini is back!
Thank you guys for all your help.
by the way, the tire shop is SGV Customer Rims and Tires. 626-820-9500. Great customer services, everybody is very nice and helpful.

Good to hear! I remember once my tires were fine after mounting and balancing. Then one day while driving at highway speed I heard a "clunk" and then had vibration in the steering wheel after that. Turns out I had thrown one of the balancing weights. The tire shop I had them mounted and balanced at fixed it for free.
