Suggestions/part help?
Hello everyone. I recently bought a used 2002 mini cooper (non s model) I know bummer right. So i am looking for some reasonably priced performance mods and maybe some links to check out. I am looking for exhaust, cold air, maybe a chip. The basics just so i can get a little more power out of it, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Guys

MOSS alone will give you a good idea of what's available
order their catalog....even if you never buy from them it is good for the 'reading room'

As you probably already know, squeezing more power out of the Cooper engine is difficult and cost-prohibitive. There isn't much you can do in terms of bolt-on stuff, other than what you said: intake and cat-back exhaust. Perhaps even a header could help, too. New plug wires probably won't do anything. Perhaps a smaller crank pulley, (though I'm not sure if those are just for the Cooper S engines).
If you have deep pockets, perhaps there are internals like a new camshaft or something that may help.
I'm not sure if there are tuners who can help. I'd check with RMW; perhaps there may be a dyno-tune/ECU reflash that you can do. They've done wonders with Cooper S's.
Good luck!

The Cooper is a great car. A little less HP but still a great car.
To your question, there are few real power additions for the Cooper. However the car's real essence is handling not raw speed.
Enjoy it for what it is. Many of the more skilled drivers (not me) can drive a Cooper faster than an MCS.
