tuck in headlight washers

So, I just got my 2006 MCS, and washed my winshield and the little headlight washers came out. How in the world do they get back in??

They should go back in on their own.

How about having someone run the washers while applying some pressure to them?

Hmm, no luck. I don't understand. Are they just supposed to come out for a second and then go back in?

How long does it usually take everyone else for them to go back in

They are supposed to go right back in. Immediately after you wash the lights.

I don't think they're getting caught on anything. I can push on one and the other one will pop out a little bit, but I don't want to break anything.

Maybe if I wash them again? How can I get them going?

sounds like a mechanical defect.... some motor/sensor isnt letting them/it go back in... warranty?

if no warranty, maybe if you could get them to at least go back in - i disconnected my fuse so that the headlight washers dont go on with the wipers, i hate it

Yeah, it's still under warranty. I only got the thing yesterday! (it's an '06 though)

Anyways, I'm going to try and turn them on again and hopefully they will go back in. If not I guess i'll give MINI a call

@bswinnerton: i have an 06 too, and have the same issue on one side. I've been planning on disconnecting the fuse since I'm out of warranty. let me know if you can figure out what the problem is!

on a side note: if I pop the hood, the washer drops back in on its own. weird.

Yeah, I just figured that out too!

Hood up does fix it.
