Father's car is back

Sooo my dad just got his 67 mustang back up and running after about 4 months of maintenance and dropping a v8 into it from the original straight 6. He let me drive the thing around the block a few times today and all i can say is....HOLY CRAP! Obviously the mini could still take it easy in the twisties but this thing is FAST. So here are some pictures of two well build cars together Hope everyone is having a great end of the week!

Had a '68 fastback S code. It was pretty loaded with a/c, bucket seats, and console. Car was actually scary with the power it had. Handled like crap but in a straight line just tapping on the gas would break the rear tires loose. Ended up selling it a few years after I restored t. Miss that car.

I wish my dad was cool and into cars and stuff.
My dad drives a 1998 Toyota Sienna and a 1989 Buick Century
He also is on his third engine in the Toyota because he destroyed the first one after not changing the oil for like...80,000 miles, and then told them he didn't like the replacement one so they switched them again......all for free.

Hey, Siennas and Buicks are cool!

ahah Not exactly...

My dad is the same way. Whenever we together see a cool car, I will point it out and he will just be like 'why is it so low! why is it so loud! You could never get down a bumpy dirt road with that thing!'
I just roll my eyes and keep on going. He did have a cool jacked up Jeep back in the day though.

Yea he had a 1970 Corvette LT1, very cool...but also an automatic.
I always talk about old cars and he always say "Yea but they never got heat" or "I hate jeeps...too many sharp edges" as if the cars are exactly the same 30 years later lol.
