Output voltage lead tps wire...

I also posted this in electrical, but don't know if it will be seen...

Does anyone know where (I assume there is one?) the output voltage lead is from the throttle position sensor?

I am in the process of building a intercooler co2/water sprayer and want it to come on at wot when armed.

Thanks all!

There are actually two output signals from the throttle positions sensor as it actually uses two potentiometers and then sends both signals beck to the ECU, this is done for both safety and as a means of detecting faults.

You might want to think about using the Accelerator position sensor, it's basically just a pair of potentiometers hooked up to the go pedal. According to the service manual it is underneath the accelerator.

Anyway, the two wires for the TPSs are attached to pins 10 and 11 on the ECM. I cant help much more that.

That's awesome. Thanks!

For what I am doing I can probably tap into 1 of the two. I guess just test them and make sure they read the same?

I will look into the accelerator-that might be a better way to go, just need to see how the voltage reads...

more than likely you'll trip a CEL. The way to get it to go away is:
Turn the key to the on position hold gas pedal to the floor for 25 seconds
release pedal for 10 seconds
start car and let it run.

may idle funny for a few minutes then it will even out.

The risk with tapping into only one is that depending on how you tap into it you may change the resistance enough in one of the wires for the ECU to thing the sensors are faulty. I dont know how big of a difference it would take though, so you might need to experiment.
