R50/53 How Do I Fix a Rattling Window?

There are adjusters that regulate the angle of the window regulators, which thus controls the closure of the glass to the upper seal. There are two, one at the bottom of each 'leg' of the regulator. With the door panel off look down into the cavity. And, lay on the ground and look up at the bottom edge of the door. You will see the screws the lock the position of these adjusters.

in addition to the above, check and make sure the (what I can describe only as cogs!) that hold the window in place are tight. With your door panel off, and your window partially down, maybe a third of the way, reach up into the door on the portion of the glass that faces the outside of the car. In line with each track, there are cog shaped washers that fasten the window glass to the track. Each has an attached screw in the middle that fits an allen head wrench. First make sure that the "cogs" are at least hand tight, then you can tighten a little more with the allen wrench. Be careful not to tighten too much though, as there doesn't seem to be any sort of padding (be it fiber or foam) washer between these "cogs" and the glass.
From there, I'd say try the above method, it also works wonderfully for those that have a bit of wind noise/whistle or who have a bit of trouble with water seeping past the seals.
Good Luck!
