First! Only when it rains, my front right tire makes a horrible screech when I turn, but only whenit rains, otherwise it's fine...figured it's a wheel bearing or hub?

Second. I was driving on the freeway the other day and a BMW Z4 pulled next to me and started trying to pull, so the mini and I decided to just go ahead and go lol. As I downshifted to 4th, I punched it and shifted as I normally would and for some reason, out of nowhere the Check engine light came on and the little Dsc light in the speedo came on and the car felt like it just wouldn't pull. I'd give it gas and it would barely go. After I stopped and shut it off, let it sit for like 30 minutes and then drove it again, it drives fine like normal! But now just the check engine light is on. Guess I will take it to the local auto parts store. Please do not discriminate against the way I drive and what I decide to do with my car, I am asking for help and thoughts, not bashing ones. can't tell you what the first part is.

second part, multiple reasons. dsc could be connected to the first problem.
when you say it wouldn't pull you were in "Limp mode" and the car basically cuts itself off to prevent any damage.

definitely get the car to a code reader and figure out what's going on. i'm not sure if the OBD scanner will pick up the DSC/possible wheel bearing issue, my scanner does not.

 

Thanks for the help but today I was driving and the power steering stopped working. Then I drove about 20 more miles parked it, let it sit for like 2 hours and started it up, check engine light went off, and power steering works??!? No idea! The car is driving better than ever!
