R50/53 Do you still wave...

Yes that would be depressing. Last weekend another Mini pulled up beside me at a stop light. Instead of waving, the woman lifted her t shirt and quickly displayed a nice pair of naked breasts. When the light turn green, the her shirt came back down. Now that is better than just waving anytime. Maybe the female Mini drivers out there could start a trend!

To wave or not?
I wave at every mini I see, even if they don't wave back. We have a dealership in town and quite a few minis on the street. Only a few wave but I like that the car comes with this group of friends with similar interests attached. I used to drive a Vett, and I always waved at other Vetts. Like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it. Keep the wave going!

I have been riding a motorcycle or a scooter for a LONG time and I still wave to others on two wheels.
When I owned a Series II Landrover I waved to other Rover drivers.
Now that I own a Mini, that community extends to Mini drivers.
20 + years and still not getting old. It's all in the attitude.
cheers,
dag

Don't need to mod - the MINI is great as-is. I want the wave.

Being a new mini owner, got my '05 MCS about 3 weeks ago, however being a motorcycle owner who waves alot to fellow riders, I naturally started waving to other minis and have gotten about a 50% return. My wife, who rides with me on my Bonneville, while cruising the back roads of Vermont in the mini this past weekend, told me she felt the mini is the car version of a motorcyle. So much fun! We are both hooked.

When i first got my car nobody waved back, now I pull up beside people and always give a thumbs up or a wave and the return is always positive. Everyone seems to love their MINI. I saw a couple last week that have to be 70+ motoring around in a Cooper. Such a nice thing to see people of all ages, even those used to cars that need two parking spaces and a commercial drivers license to parallel park.
I did have one guy this morning blow me off. I was getting gas and he pulled in and i yelled "That better be premium!" just messing around. He looked at me, pretty much said something like "beat it" under his breath, and went along his way.

A three armed Chili/W Cooper S with Bonnets and Bling came at me yesterday and arms were everywhere....passenger, driver side and from the rear seat out the open glass top! It is such fun when this happens (Oh, and to the too cool to even bother to look gal in the DkGray/B Cooper S...boring!)

I still wave, but don't get many back. But I live in the Dallas, TX area where people are not that friendly. I grew up around Austin. Back in the day, If you were outside the city limits and someone was coming the other way on the road, you just put up your index finger as a kind of salute. Everyone who livend out in the country did it. But it ended about thirty years ago.
