I thought maybe those were old tires or something. They are designed for a max wheel width of 7.5", they would seem to be unsafe on those wheels, IMHO.

This is a huge misconception on these boards. Stretched tires are not inherently unsafe. Safety issues arise if a car on (excessively) stretched tires is used for autocross or racing applications. Stretch, and especially more extreme uses of stretch (like mine), is mostly seen in the "Stance" scene where stretching skinnier tires over wider wheels is used to aid in fitting awkward-fitment wheels (like mine again). Unless I was to try and track my car on the current set-up, I won't face any safety issues. There was a thread on this that was recently closed due to misinformation. It was cleaned up and re-opened after the fallacies of stretch-tire safety were disproved by cold facts, but it needs to be said again that stretch tires, when used appropriately, are not unsafe.
That said, Firetruck - please don't take this post as an attack on you, mate. I just get really frustrated when people bring this up, especially when opinion is interjected as fact (again - not what you did, but it's been done many-a-time before). I just want to set the record straight here. Some people like the look, and others don't, but regardless of opinion there, stretch tires are not unsafe.
I've got a few more new pix that I'll post up later. I'm loving the new set up!
I think your wheels would look sweet with the appropriate sized tires, but not too excited the way they sit. I never heard of the "stance" scene, guess I'm not a fan. To each their own...
