Does anyone know if the plastic molding that goes around the roof is different from the previous year models? I am asking because the plastic modling looks like a gutter and it seems to me a roof rack should be able to attach pretty easily to this. It may not be able to support a not of weight but should be good enuf for my 2 bikes or 3 pairs of skis.

Can anyone comment on the differences in the modling between 04 and previous years? and if there really is a difference, is there some info on new roof racks that have been or are being developed that are going to be a better fit than the ones that have been available for 02 and 03 MY cars? (MINI roof rack is out of the question - I am not paying anyone 300 dollars for a priviledge of having my roof drilled by a highschool dropout who is interning to be a BMW mechanic).
