OK, how many are you out there? I know DavenDenver, CMINIGO, MINIclo and L.MINI are all compulsives along with myself.

I am so obsessed with this car I have a picture of it at my desk in the office, besides having a collection of pictures on the screen. Which that takes me to my other obsessive compulsive behavior concerning the car. I am always taking pictures of it. In the 4 months I've had the car I almost have more pictures of the car than I do of my 5 year old daughter!

I'm a sad sad individual who loves this car!

What is your compulsive behavior? We know Sfiveten and mferguson's behavior, they have this site!

Compulsive? I won't get my MINI until next summer (yeah, I read a post saying fly across country and buy one but for those of us with demanding jobs taking 5 days off is not an option) and I still check this site everyday to see if there's something I can add on to it before the production number is assigned. I have the MINI configurator installed on a server at my office (shhhhhhh) so I can access it from anywhere (I'm the admin). I have MINI screen savers and wallpaper and have already started revamping my garage to store the MINI. I'm in contact with Portland MINI owners so I can get in on the ground floor and help set up a MINI club here. But I guess what takes the cake is that it's 9:45 in the AM on a Saturday and I'm sitting at work waiting for some jobs to finish running while typing this...did I mention this car is for my fiance?

Thanks to all of you who have your MINI's for sharing with us who do not. For all purposes you are the Beta testers so by the time the rest of us get ours we will know what to expect, or MINI will have already fixed it.

Motor on!

::hands in the air:: I'm addicted, I need a 12-step - NOT. I'm beaming.

Everyone at work thinks I already work at MINI since I can rattle off any factoid known to man and insert MINI into every conversation. I have one of their launch posters over my desk, screensaver, photos up from the dealership, my friend's Dad's 1968 Cooper S, I just got my car so I have digital images of her.

I'm making her website, she already has her own email

...need i go on?

There's no question that Obsessive Cumpulsive describes my behaviour.

I knew an MCS would eventually be mine as soon as I sat in one at the Toronto Auto Show last February.

My fridge at home has the Playboy pullout of a DS MINI sitting in a rally garage. (What other guy sticks a Playboy pinup of a godamn car on his fridge except a MINIholic?).

I obsessed over colour, and still do. It took a lot of persuasion from my 16 yr. old dtr. to choose LY/B. I was first going with BRG/B - but I slowly came over to the Yellow side.

I won't get delivery until Nov. (I hope) but I still drive by the dealer's showroom to look at the colours and second-guess myself. I'm already too embarassed to go into the dealer again just to sit in a car and touch things in the interior!

I seem to have given up all my other favourite web sites in order to delve deeper and deeper into this site and MINI2.com. The Canadian version MINIportal.ca is being revamped, and right now only runs somewhat quiet forums, so I don't spend much time there.

I've read every damn article and review published on the web about the MC and MCS. I haunt the local magazine shop flipping through new car mags for an updated article, or '03 preview! I look at the personal galleries to see what you lucky owners are doing with your cars.

Obsessed? I bought the "New MINI" book and posted a review on this site. I took my mother out for breakfast and afterwards drove her down to the MINI dealer to show her the car. She thinks I'm f*cking nuts for lusting after such a little yellow car. I guess she doesn't get it!

My wife won't listen to me anymore when I start a sentence with "Listen to this........" because she knows I'm about to rhyme off a number of imoportant, useful and interesting MINI facts!

First thing in the a.m. and last thing at night I check my email (Internet addiction, no doubt) and cruise minicooperonline.com just to see what the most recent posts and threads are. I've gotten some great information from some of you, especially in the area of run-flats and other MINIisms. And I've made a number of requests of sfiveten for custom builds from his Configurator. (Thanks again, S-5-10!).

Obsessed? Nope. Not me.

and I thought I was bad because I spend 2 hours everyday just keeping up with every post that lands here! that, and the screen savers, desktop pics, both manuals, the model on my monitor at work, the ability to spit out facts and comparisons about a car that I will not even own until mid-january. Freak? Oh you betcha!

I just clean it constantally... I rain-xed the windows 2 weeks ago, and there's none on the sides left.. (The only reason there's any on the front and back is I use the rainx windsheild washer additive), I clean the seats so much that sometimes it feels like your pants are waxed, and i even clean & shine the plastic in the boot... and not to mention, I give weather reports a good listen, that why I can plan on when i can wash it...

How sick is this:

I'm leaving Toronto tomorrow (Sunday) for a week on the Canadian east coast. Flying and driving (rental car - not a MINI).

I'm already in panic-mode knowing I'll be offline for the week. What'll I miss on these boards?

I'm losing sleep over this.......

(Is there a 12 step MINI recovery program?)

I don't have one ordered YET and I read thru the brochure every day on break and lunches at work. And I live right around the corner from the dealer so when I'm on graveyard or swing shift I go look at all the minis on the lot that belong to someone else EVERY night after work. I also have pictures of minis all over my work place.

Obsessed ? Yeah. I run a small T-shirt and embroidery biz and I've bought 2 websites for my MINI T-shirts. http://www.minitshirts.com and http://www.miniswag.com.

Bookmark 'em and stay tuned for MINI inspired swag to your heart's content. The stuff from MINI is cool, but I've got some great ideas. Don't worry. No trademarks will be infringed upon.

I forgot, i have all the postcards and miscellaneous photos on my fridge, too. I've had those for a long time and just forgot about them.

I also got a fabulous mini sterling silver 'charm' off of ebay -- from New Zealand. One of the original mini's.

I have a problem....

Do you mean that you are buying the car for your fiance, or that you are taking the car as your fiance? Since this thread is about compulsive behavior, if you plan to marry the mini, you get my vote for first place.

I only have observed one compulsive behavior for me so far-- I can't stop driving it... bye, gotta go.....

Yup, I'm officially compulsively obsessed with all things MINI! I went to 2 MINI meets before I had mine (in hubby's Corvette) and was totally stoked to see them and talk with my fellow MINIacs! Now that I have one, I STILL go by my dealership to say "hi" to the sales staff and check out what's on the floor! I'm already on a first-name basis with the service dept.... I've been co-organizing (with CMINIGO, another obsessive compulsive MINIac) the Oct. 6 Caravan & MINI Meet at the Santa Paula Airport, so I get to not only participate on THREE MINI message board websites, but correspond via email with other enthusiasts about the meet and anything else we can think of relating to MINI! And today, I dragged hubby up to Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, CA, for the Eurotuner Fest (however, I didn't pay $175 to race MINIclo...too much $$$ for me), and I got to meet Katherine, a MINI-mate from Roadfly, whereupon we bored our dear & patient hubbies nearly to death with our neverending conversation about our Pure Silver MINI Coopers! Bwahahahahaha!

***Have you people been in my house***

I don't need to tell you how obessed I am. I have read all the posts and if I haven't done it, I have thought of it.

However, this is one thing that I did not read.

My husband asked me "When you get it can I drive it?". My reply was that he had to take a test. He gasped in amazement

It is a requirement that he must know as much as I do about the MINI - its history, specs, feaatures, and the significant differences between models. When I say Honey, Listen to this... - he listens.

It can't get any better than this.

A MINI test? Oh, that is just too good! I might have to come up with something, leave it in the glove box for just such occasions!

I've got a bad combo... obsessive compulsive and a perfectionist!!

Whenever I come back from a store or whatever and before I get in my car I check both sides of it to see if some dingbat scratched or dented it. I am so paranoid about anyone even getting a fingerprint on my car.

Great stuff!! Although, I could care less if they know when the first mini was released..... they aren't driving MY samantha! )

I have not yet gotten my baby! I look forward to driving her off the lot, taking her for several joy rides daily, hell I even look forward to cleaning her! I'm not a big fan of cleaning, as i am sure most people aren't..... but I intend to clean her as much as i can without rubbing the paint off of her! LMAO
