The HK stereo. I ordered the option too late in the game.
I know its stupid but I would have opted for the European option of DVD player in the headrests if it was offered.
Auto unlock doors would be great. Should'a seen my sister pull on the inside door handle trying to get out. Almost busted a gut (and gladly not the handle). Had to 'splain the double Dutch pull.

Bloo has:
no sunroof (too hot in Miami, and didn't like the black on my white roof)
performance package (17" rims on runflats, too harsh)
MFSW (but of course)
HID lamps (look, oh so right)
Front & rear fogs
Rally lights (installed them myself, cheaper)
Factory alarm (ditto)
Anthracite interior (as per advise in MCO)
Seat covers (diving suit material, nice & breaths, also protects plastic seat backs)
DSC (I almost always turn it off unless its raining)
Stripes (gotta have)
glove box organizer (its a given)
CD holder (where else do you put yur CDs, and it has a Mini logo too)
trinket box under the center console. (for driving gloves)
Parcel shelf coming soon.

I found my S on the lot with:

16" R84 Y spokes - look great, easy to clean, original equipment and lightweight as some really expensive aftermarkets
lapis seats - everyone comments on how great they look, no problems here
DSC - I turn mine off most of the time but love it in the rain to keep me from being stupid
Premium package with MFSW - stereo buttons rock, cruise is great convenience, did I say stereo buttons rock?
and sun roof - ineffective sunshades, but I'm working on an 100% block insert for the market
on board computer - I like knowing my gas mileage, it keeps my foot out of it if I know I'm getting 21 mpg at $1.75/gal! At that mileage, I should have kept my GT Stang...I wish they could reprogram to add the speedo feature in it

I added the Euro parcel shelf, glove box organizer, blue/black cocomats, 20% tint, rear fog mod, tinted tailights and stubby S2000 antenna.

perf mods coming

I love my Cooper just the way he is. But if I had to do it over again, I would've ordered the optional non-cracking windshield and the No Rattles Package. Also, I'd delete the Sensi-Stall® feature from the 1.6L engine.

Next MINI I get will definitely have the NAV system. I seldom even look at the big speedometer anymore (use the digital readout on the OBC). I do alot of driving in the mountains and would like the compass and altitude features the Sat Nav offers.

And finally have a HOT lookn STI a$$ kicker!!!

>>Oh yeah I wish I had cruise control also...it would help stop my speeding on the FW

With the unpredictable fluctuation of the cruise control speed, the car appears to have a mind of its own, which renders the cruising function useless.

Your dealer should be able to fix it, the criuse on my MC works perfectly.

when i placed my initial order i thought i should
splurge and get lots of options since i planned
on keeping this car for quite awhile.

that being said, after 8 months with it there are plenty of
things i would do differently if i was ordering my MCS today:

i would not get:

leather seats - too much for iffy leather quality, and slippy butt syndrome (SBS) in tight cornering

sunroof - too heavy and way too loud at highway speeds (see HK below)

auto a/c - auto mode doesn't tell me what vents are being used, and front defrost
only has 1 'super-high' setting, thereby forcing me to use the dash vents and dry out my eyeballs, and chap my lips

17 in. s-'lite's - contradictory name...these things are very heavy

HK - save your money and buy aftermarket. the sound is excellent, but this is too quiet in my opinion for highway motoring with the windows/roof open. my last standard OEM stereo was in a mitsubishi and had no problems at 45+ mph with all moveable glass open. i think this should not be an issue with a 'premium' system

my order if i placed it today:
pepper white/black MCS - iam happy with my DS though
space cloth or leatherette - undecided
16" v=spokes - aftermarket powder coat black, leaving silver lip and center cap
anthracite interior - the alloy patina is ok, a bit too flat for me
bonnet stripes - classic mini IMO
rally lights - i use these to enhance my visiblity to other drivers as a part of defensive driving
xenons - crisp clear lighting
front fogs - i use these all the time in place of daytime running lamps, except in the bright sunshine
MFSW - remote radio buttons are great, although the center button on the left should allow you to switch between AM/FM
on-board comp. - great for track day info.
DSC - you can turn it off, and it saved my butt on an icy off-ramp yesterday

overall though, i do love my car as it is...and still plan to have him for some time to come.

cheers,
S-

A white/black w/black V-spokes, black stripes and ralley light. That would be a rare combo! I've yet to see one with that combo. I think that would look cool!

Now that rear fogs are out (...along with that extra toggle), I'd go for a full set of switches and go ahead and get DSC which I don't have presently. I'd also probably go for a PW/PW color combo with a good tint job...saw one of those the other day and it was HOT! I'd still get a Cooper, though.

>>... the MINI auto-dimming mirror can be retrofitted. ...There are three connectors. Ground, positive lead at "accessory" and positive lead when in reverse (this deactivates the autodimming feature while backing up). You really only need the ground and a positive feed to it.

I ordered the auto-dimming mirror from Classic for $131. There are 3 wires, but I'll only have to connect 2 of them. Easy enough!

Is the wiring or connector already there for the auto dim mirror? Also what about the Universal GDO that is intergreted into the mirror is that retrofittable?

Nugget is perfect in every way. I didn't want the sunroof because I spent several years of my life on a submarine and leaks still terrify me! I went with the sport package because 16" wheels handle our rural bumps better than the larger sizes, but am getting a spare set of 15" 7-hole rims for my snow tires. I thought about the auto-dimming mirror so I would never have to change the position of the mirror, but since that's the first thing my wife does when driving a car I figured the dimmer wouldn't help anyway. Thought about the HK upgrade, but with a high frequency hearing loss from all that gunfire over the years I probably couldn't tell the difference between that and stock anyway.

No, my little Nugget is perfect!
