My MCS is still on the Medea which is due to hit California on 10/7/02. I assume this will stop my car from being unloaded. Can anyone confirm this? Also, does anybody have any idea how much of a backlog is likely to build up, and how long it might take to catch up?

I was down at Bolsa Chica State beach night before last and there were so many boats stacked up outside of Long Beach that it looked like a city. My guess is that you are going to have to wait until the strike is over, and then probably even longer while they haul a** to unload all the rotting food items first. After that I would gues that they will off-load the boats first-come-first-served.
