I've seen several references by some people who know the specific date that their car was built (Born!). Where is that information coming from?

On the owner's lounge at miniusa or you can call 866-ask-mini with your production number.

You can also check the manufacturer's plate located inside the driver's side door jamb. In that plate the month and year of manufacture are printed.

However, if you want the exact day of the month, either log into the Owner's Lounge or contact MINIUSA with your production or VIN number.

I checked on the Owner's Lounge but I couldn't find anything relating to production dates ?. Is there a feature to lookup production dates with your vin number ?.

 

I've been looking for that myself...once you are logged into the owners lounge, go to check your order, then click on review order detail. there it lists your production number, VIN (if you have one), current status, dealer, the estimated production date and a description of your MINI.

really kinda bugs me that mine is listed incorrectly. I'm told that it should change in the next few days to actually show my car, but why couldn't this be correct from the get go?
