Well HRH didn't actually "inspect" my MINI but she must have seen it! I work at Pearson International in Toronto. As I was getting off work this afternoon, driving down the infield access road, some guy in a old Lumina pulls across the road right in front of me, and stops, blocking the intersection. Just before I shout some choice profanities, out steps a police tactical officer from the lumina, and walks up to my MINI.( it's amazing how quickly I can become polite when someone has a MAC9 slung over their shoulder! LOL) He quickly explains that I'm going to have to wait for a few minutes, that the Queen's motorcade(That right HRH Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of England)is coming through and that I hope you don't mind the wait. Then he noticed my England grill badge and said "I guess you won't" laughing as he pointed at my grile badge. I'm a bit of a Monarchist so I was honored to be front and center! The MINI was spotless (accept for the endless battle with brake dust on my white rims!!! HEY BMW...GET CLEANER BREAK PADS!!!!!!!!!) I couldn't see the Queen herself but she drove right by my MINI(maybe 20feet away) so she must have noticed that "Flag Ship" of the English auto industry... my MINI! And as far as I'm concerned my MINI has been inspected by the Queen! Now if I could just find one of those seals, the " By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen" seals with the Royal Coat of Arms, like you find on the HP steak sauce bottle, to put beside the MINI emblem, I'll be set! Well before I type another run-on sentence, I'll go. Time to go toast the Queen! May She Reign for 50 more!

Way cool! I dunno if the "By appointment" thing is such a good idea. I know that in Britain, you can only display that if you supply something to her. I doubt they's count a scenic view as valid for that.

Your probably right! They do take that sort of thing rather seriously over there! maybe a homemade "veiwed by Her Majesty the Queen" or an " as see by Royal Motorcade"(sort of like the as seen on tv) sticker!

 

I'd have stopped HRH and asked her to knight me. Then I would be Sir Ron Norris, both coming and going! Barfffff1

 

I don't think that the RCMP would hunt you down if you had that on your MINI... :smile:

Personally I firmly believe the whole (German) Royal family should be hung at a Central location. They are scum suckers who sit on an enormous pot of wealth while poor people die on the streets of England.

The amount of tax they pay is a total joke, their whole lifestyle the definition of "hypocrisy", and the entire population spends way too much time worrying about the completely stupid details of their worthless lives.

DEATH TO ROYALS! Tell the bloody German bred (inbred) bastards to leave the country for good.

I read somewhere in the all the Mini stuff I have been reading that the Queen owned a Mini back in the 60s. Maybe she will buy a new one.

No. They'll give her one. The USA would be a much better place if they did what AlexTalk suggests be done to the Royal Family, to some of the liberal bloodsuckers in Congress.
