All of you are doing great as my wife's (& she's not a spirited driver) 2006 MC 5 speed just this year required and requires major repairs which for 75K miles I think is too much.
T-stat and Hsg, Brakes all around, Crankshaft sensor, oil seal leak at rear of engine/tranny, new LF wheel bearing, this is all on top of regular maintenance as to new tires, wipers, light bulb, oil service. All in all it adds up to over $4,000 which is too much for a car with less than 100K on it. :-(
After 10 Years and 3 Weeks my 2002 MINI Cooper did pass 500,000 Miles!
It's at something like 500,750 right now and - as always - ready to go anywhere at a moment's notice. No big trips planned, and no maintenance required except another oil change probably next week.
Everything still works exactly as it should - not one switch that has to be jiggled - or one rattle that has to be explained - and not even one spot on the garage floor. Trade this car for something else? Why?
