Yep, its about due for new guides. I dropped the pan and no shards from the guides yet. Might just do the chain also while in i am in there. I did the tensioner already.

We are becoming a rare breed with each passing year. One of the great aspects of the club are that there are no annual fees...

hstanfield's 2002 MINI Cooper at 644,000 Miles
Beautiful Sunny, Dry, Winter Day yesterday, so I went for a 350 mile drive!
I have a Sirius Satelite Radio that never lets me drive out-of-range, but never
turned it on yesterday - just nice to hear that entire car still humming like
its creators intended! It was about 45 degrees outside, but the sunroof was
open for some of the time.
No, - it's not For Sale. There'll be more nice days coming for this 92 year old.

2004 Black and White R50. Just over 100,000 this week. I replaced motor 2 years ago at 85,304 for blown piston rod and detonated piston 1...so just 15K on new motor.
Bought brand new block from ProMini (now closed) and rebuilt head on eBay. Thought it was running well. Disassembled from top down while on car and rebuilt back same way. Only real trouble with assembly wss reconnecting exhaust manifold.
Did CVT flush last weekend with INPA adaptation...Wow...never ran so good since I've had it! Smooth highway driving and already seeing improved MPG. Best thing I've done to this car since I've owned it!
