I'm at 218K on my 2004 R53 that's been having transmission issues. I have a new (to me) used transmission that will be going in soon, and assuming that goes well, I'll put some more effort into addressing some of the cosmetic things like a sagging headliner, dents and dings, and failing clearcoat. I'm looking forward to getting my baby shipshape again.
She's still on the original supercharger, so hopefully that baby lasts a little longer. It seems ok so far.

Still motoring-
05-MCS, 6spd
Today: 211,921 and solid!
Bought used Jan 1st, 2019 w/ 174K for $2300-
We were, honestly, looking for things to repair or improve on this car for the first six months that we had it! Fixed little things- struts on the rear hatch, all new rotors, calipers & pads, window regulator;
we’re dealing with the dreaded P2096 code currently, but other than that —I’m IN LOVE with this car!
I seriously cant see myself driving anything else- even a newer one!

205k and full bolt ons ....running good n strong and 0 rust too...car lived most its life in cali and was well taken care of. It's now residing in midwest and being better taken care of now by me as I been slowly going through it fully.
I got it at 180k 6 months ago and only thing I had to repair was the crank pulley , I have since done more mods too..

Wow Nick! Thanks for giving me hope for more fun to come!
Bought my $500 Bargain Mini from my neighbor showing 165,000 already clocked, I've added about 500 after a pretty complete rebuild , Everything but rebuilding the engine.
Loving the potential for miles to come. Just curious, what oil change mileage interval do you use?

You have a lot of fun left. I follow the OBC recommended oil changes which for me run somewhere between 15,000 and 21,000 using Royal Purple. See thread here. When I did the rebuild at 365,000 miles the original hone marks on the cylinder walls were still present, there was zero "gunk" build up, the engine looked great. rebuild thread here

As I didn't know what oil the prior owner used I went with a name brand Dino oil, but I'll probably do it at a 4000-5000 mile interval. Mostly due to shorter trips and Dino oil but also, being old [er] I'll be 68 tomorrow actually, I can't quite wrap my head around 15,000 mile oil changes.
I was actually thinking about doing the oil at 4000 and doing the filter every other change.
My business has 18 Dodge Caravans that are treated almost like Taxis and we stick to 4 K interval and have never replaced an engine in 30 years. And we usually get 250-300,000 miles despite their somewhat harsh treatment. By that time the rest of the van is falling apart but not the engines.
Thanks, and happy Mini-ing...
