r50 coolant change-must be through the thermostat housing?

I'm in need of some clarification, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm in the middle of changing the coolant, lower rad hose is off, etc. Can I add through the expansion tank or what?
It seems like that's only for the S model? Do I need to take anything off to get to the housing? I'm going to go reconnect the hose, hopefully somebody knows the answer!

Nevermind. Duh. Just fill it from the coolant cap. Sheesh.
Bled the system, adjusted leaky hose clamp, done for the day.
