I need help.! R53

Hi my name is steph. An I have a r53 and it's been acting strange I just replaced the throttle body on the car because it would start then die. I connected it to the computer it told me my flap was only opening 17%. So now that I replaced my throttle body the car runs fine except one thing. When the car is idling, it idles very rough. And will shoot up to 2000rpms then shoot back down and it will constantly do this. My brakes are also harder to push at times which I'm assuming is from not being driven in 2months. I also disconnected the MAP sensor which only made a slight difference. Please help me. I'm running out of ideas. I love my mini but it's becoming too much work.

Double check your work as it sounds like you have a vacuum leak.

Thank you everyone for the answers. You acctualy just let the car get use to the new throttle. After a few days it was running fine. Your car needs to adjust
