Help! 03 MCS won't start

Hi, i have a 03 mcs that won't start, after replaced a new battery, the car still has no action when i turn the ignition to start, but when i have sombody pushing the car while the car in 1st gear, it will start. so i took it to a shop and run a diagnostic. and the shop told me the ecu runs normal, ignition switch is good, and starter is grounded, so they told me its the starter problem. but i took the starter out and bring it to autozone to run the test, they ran the test 3 times and the starter passed like normal. so what should i do now?

I've checked it, the clutch switch is connected and clipped like it should, could it be like something wrong inside the clutch switch?

is the starter getting POWER when the key is turned.....
to trouble shoot, you must work from a point, and check stuff to see where it leads you. It appears the starter is OK, but is it getting energized?! Sounds like no.....so Could be the safety switch...could be the box in the back next to the battery...corroded or a bad cable...the the S has 2...one is unfused due to the amps needed to turn the starter, but has a explosive charge that will disconet if the car is in a crash...the LONG cable runs sometimes results in a rub or cut.
Check the grounds yet?
Engine imoblizer?
A few different things to look at....interesting the shop did not do it...
And one thing...starters sometimes get stuck...and hitting them with a hammer will unstick them....get a start or two out of them before they stop entirely....

I read in another thread that some one had a washer on the negative cable that wasn't conductive so the car could barely get any power through the cable. It would run but not start. Might be worth checking.

Possible bad key, bad key battery, and/or anti-theft. If you have a spare key, try it just in case.
