I'd say that DS/DS is more aggressive looking and less common than DS/W which is cooler in the hot summer.
Some people don't like the contrast in color between the white roof and sunroof being black, this contrast would be much less with a DS/DS with sunroof.
If you like the white look then white roof and mirrors and white wheels is pretty classy/dressy.
If white is not your style then DS/DS lends itself to lots of good looking wheel options from anthracite to chrome, black or various silver tones.

But, I"d not get the white roof/white wheels
All Dark Silver with silver v-spokes or s-lites is pretty common, as is Dark Silver / White with the silver v-spokes or silver s-lites.

I think the whole idea behind the MINI is to order either a white or black contrasting roof. This is one aspect that yet sets the MINI apart from other mundane cars.
I think DS/W or DS/B are very nice.
Having said that, there are solid body and roof colors that really have grown in me (And they are less usual): CR/CR, IB/IB and LY/LY.
But in the end I much prefer a MINI with a different color roof from the rest of the car.

I have a DS/W, no sunroof and got that combo because I felt it maintained the
legacy of the classic Mini's contrasting roof and body color scheme. It also projects
a brighter feeling than the DS/DS or DS/B. It's a catchy color........just make a decision and don't drive yourself crazy with it.

I personally like the DS/B combination better, but DS/DS does look pretty clean.

>>Just my opinion if it counts  ... but a MINI is NOT REALLY A MINI without:
>>
>>1. a contrasting roof
>>2. the center speedo
>>
>>Either one missing and it's just another people mover
>>
>>I have CR/W btw ...
What does that make my MINI that has neither contrasting roof nor center speedo?

All color combos are about personal taste, and a MINI is cool looking, period. That being said, the MINI roof is all about contrast. I've got a fairly subtle PS/B MC, and am switching to even more contrast w/ my currently ordered CR/W w/ white alloy wheels. The other best contrasts, IMO, are IB/W and BRG/W- both w/ white wheels and mirror caps.
