Rear cross bars are 99% looks....even the JCW one...
if you look where they are typically getting secured too, the rear seat side anchors, it LOOKS SOLID, but it is simply not a very good spot...it is NOT on toop of the strut towers like the front bar...if you want extra stiffness, imo go UNDER the car..there are several types of braces there...3 for the r53/52/50 that each offer a slightly different feel...
but you cannot see them....a plus imo, i like the sleeper look!!

good to know!
i do have the cabrio braces on my engine: those i could immediately feel.
didnt really think that rear brace would do too much, but wanted others thoughts, hence the post.

wish i could get my hands on a used OMP front strut brace: thats the only one that looks like it actually Works! ive felt the M7 ones, they bend / flex easily; not sure how that does anything. sorry M7!

it made a giant difference in my clubman, hardly any body roll left and feels nice and tight. No more squeaks coming up or down a steep driveway either. Only other brace installed is a M7 strut tower brace/defenders.

I like it.

I removed it to carry a bunch of band gear in my car and took it for a spin before load in. The car feels loose around turns with out it, solid, steady, and on the road when installed.

Maybe it's not noticed as much on a regular coupe, but it sure my a big impact on my clubman.

Edit: I also have a TSW xbrace i have yet to install under the car, will remove the seat posts and compare them both once installed.
