I run Amsoil in both of my cars. I used to run Royal Purple but I actually like Amsoil better. Highly recommend it!

Personally I would get a group 4 or 5 synthetic. Royal Purple is a not a true group 4 synthetic and has been known to cause sheering... Mobile 1 is group 4 but is notorious for losing weight half way through is 5k life and people complain of sheering...
I run 5w-30 Amsoil only and they have 2 styles group 4 and group 5. Be sure to do your research and also take in consideration of where you are living when purchasing the oil you decide to run.
I was for a long time a firm believer that Royal Purple was amazing, but since having major issues in my STI I'll never run it again in any of my vehicles. Redline, Amsoil, or even T5/T6 Rotella has been and always will be on the top of my charts.

Fact that mobile 1 synthetic is a group 4 synthetic and right on the bottle says service every 10k miles... this is incredibly wrong. It loses it's weight and separates at 3500 miles... Mobile 1 quality has changed significantly its quality when they let go their first engineering group. Mobile 1 isn't on my TO GO TO oil anymore and hasn't been since 2007.
BMW 5w30 is Mobile 1 fyi. Amsoil in my eyes is the best oil to run for your motor hands down. But I do like some of the diesel oils like T5/T6 Rotella by Shell good ****!
