2006 MCS Purchased

It was about a year ago that I purchased my first Mini, a 2009 MCS. Loved the car but had other things going on at the time and traded it just 5 months later. The past month or so I had finally decided that I was going to stay in my current location and not downsize, so I started looking for MCS's again.

I found one locally that I could not resist and purchased it this past Thursday, March 28.

It's a 2006 MCS with a little under 59,000 miles. It had a clean carfax. a paper file of routine maintenance performed, a new OEM battery, new NON run flat tires, no interior wear and the original took kit.

I noticed a little less horsepower than my 2009 had but still has a great ride and power when I need it.

I found some great help yesterday from Capt_bj and am getting to know more about a 1st generation car. This forum is a great source of information for a newbie like myself.

Before I spend more time on this forum searching for bits of information on a R53, can you tell me some of the things I need to know about a 2006 MCS?

Very nice. You have one option I really wish I had and that is the Chrono gauges. I love the look of it. Good luck
