I really need help!!!! Going mad!!!
Ok so I have a 2004 mini cooper and my stick shift cables went out. I had them replaced along with the stick itself and now the car wont start. We put it on the computer and the computer is saying that it needs a memory reset. The dealership is saying that they do not do memory resets for that years model. Have spent hours looking online and cannot figure out what the problem is! COULD ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Do an ecu reset? Not really sure how shift cables would mess with that unless they were installed wrong.

maybe check to make sure they didn't bump the YAW sensor that is located right behind the E-brake handle.

Not sure what kind of computer you've hooked up to. Are there any Codes you can pull?

Thank all of you for your comments - I thought it would be a simple unanimous answer but I see it is beyond my knowledge...
Thanks Again
