help clutch slave cylinder issue

Ill try to keep this short and to the point. I removed my old slave cylinder and seal on the line where the slave connect is missing. tried different seals and it still leaks when clutch engages. (It does not leak when the clutch is not pressed). my question is has anyone run into this problem and what did u do? I bought a new line where the cylinder hooks to but im not sure where it connects to. Has anyone ever replace that line before?

so your saying no one has had there rubber seal come off there slave cylinder connection line. so everyone who replaced it seal has always been there. or no one has ever had to replace there line before. okay

this is what I'm talking about if you don't know what im saying. there a seal that goes on the end of the line to keep the fluid in then your slave snap on it.

Hi. -I'm not sure I understand your question exactly. If you're asking what to do about the missing seal, my guess is that you need to just replace the clutch fluid line. There's a picture of it here, and you can see that it has the rubber piece on the end which is not shown in your picture. I doubt you can get the rubber piece without the line, but the guy at ECS Tuning posts on this forum frequently and is real good at identifying all kinds of obscure parts. -Call him at his business or PM him on the forum.

Or are you asking where the other end of the line connects to?
Here's a diagram which shows the part you're talking about replacing as #13, and obviously you know where the (#14) slave cylinder is. Are you're looking for the bracket #12? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=RE33&mospid=48021&btnr=21_0178& hg=21&fg=10
Well I'm sure if you simply remove the engine you'll see it! (joke)

-This is why I didn't reply yesterday, I haven't replaced that line on my car, and couldn't tell you first hand if that #12 bracket is on top of the transmission, or maybe bolted to the bottom of the firewall somewhere. If that is infact your question, maybe someone else on the forum can chime in.

Best Regards

Ya that was the diagram I was looking for but didn't find. Just took everything apart and found the connection but thanks. Ya #13 was what needed to replace. I was just hoping not to. I was hoping to find a little seal to replace the one that was on there. But I guess not

Ya, bookmark that www.realoem.com site. On the front page after you enter, choose your model, production month (on the sticker in your driver door-jam),etc. After you choose Browse Parts you can choose to find them by name, or click on Switch to Drill Down Images, and you'll see thumbnail diagrams to click through instead of just words.

It's been a very helpful site/resource for me.

Motor on!

Edit: link above wrong. Should be: http://realoem.com/bmw/
