R50/53 SGII vs UG

I use a SGII but as you see the UG can too.
UltraGauge not only displays all current Engine trouble codes but also codes for potential or intermittent faults. With UltraGauge, checking engine codes is easy. UltraGauge also proactively scans for trouble while you are driving and alerts if trouble is found.
UltraGauge uses the same fundamental technology that automotive mechanics use and can display all current Engine trouble codes. Eliminate the hassle, time and expense of taking your vehicle to an automotive repair center. Repair centers charge $50 or more to read trouble codes.
Avoid faults that can lead to expensive and untimely break downs.
Many states are now eliminating the need for traditional tailpipe-based smog testing and are moving to examining trouble codes to determine the emission status of vehicles. By knowing your vehicle has no existing or pending trouble codes, your vehicle is likely to pass with ease.
Check Engine Light on?
No problem !
UltraGauge can also turn off that annoying check engine light !

it can refresh between 0.3 - 2.0 seconds you choose where to set it. i have it set to 0.3s and its good enough. it also depends on bus load on your obd2 port, i have read that some people that have alot of stuff hooked up to the obd2 can cause this thing to slow down. demand for info is too high, so it cant move it fast enough. same with the SC2

I have both and prefer the SGII, but see no reason not to get the cheeper UG.
The UG is a little more difficult to change on the fly but does offer 7 screens with up to 8 displays on each screen.
With the SGII it is easy to change any of the 4 displays while driving.
But, if you set up the UG the way you want it, you should never lack for information.
Maybe I just got used to the SGII but it is easy to use for me.
There were some issues with the UG being completely compatable with R53, I think they would drian batteries for some cars if not set up correctly.
I tried the UG on my Miata so I don't know for sure.
I will be putting the UG in my wife's car

this is what is in the UG manual never tried it yet. i will when i go home.
AFR commanded ratio 0 to 1.999 AFR cmd
Fuel Air Commanded ratio. This is the value of Lambda requested by the ECM
= (Stoichiometric F/A ratio) / (Actual F/A ratio) >1 is lean, <1 is rich.
To determine the actual A/F ratio commanded, multiply this value by 14.64
For example. If this value is 0.90, the commanded Air Fuel Ration is 0.90* 14.64 = 13.17 parts air to one part fuel.
