R50/53 Boost Gauge
#3
Do boost gauges whether via OBD2 or a dedicated gauge having it's own vacuum line.... Do they actually measure Boost PSI, or do they only "Guess" what the boost level probably is based on what the vacuum readings are.
If it's the ladder, then would changing to a DT by pass valve which is set to close "all the way" when wide open throttle... Would that actually change the vacuum reading, or only increase the amount of air pressure from the supercharger being allowed to go into the intake manifold?

I had a used Autometer, but it became inaccurate after a while and the needle was shaking. Switched it for a Prosport since then and no problems, only thing is that during day, the tinted screen isn't always easy to read. Depending on how you wire it, you can have it illuminate white or orange, or that they switch between both when powered and with the lights on.
