body control module weird issues

To start off I have a 2003 mini cooper s no mods and my BCm got wet so I dried it out and got most things to work. Well that stopped working was my dash back lights my sunroof my climate control and one window wouldn't go down automatically. Well the sunroof doesn't bother me but if I unplug the blue, black, and white plugs individually my dash lights come on and so does my climate control,I also bought a used BC and it does the exact same thing, that seems weird to me I'm at a loss anyone have any ideas.

A bcm must be programmed to match the cars options....
Just plugging in a random used one can have...er...random effects...
Look at the prongs on the plugs...sometimes they can corrode...and cause issues..

Yes, the BCM have to be programmed by a dealership to VIN. You can sometimes dry them out but if there has been any damage to the board or corrosion there sometimes hard to bring back.
