Two questions regarding the in-tank fuel filter:

(1) Is there a recommended timetable for replacement of the fuel filter?

(2) Short of complete failure to run due to a completely occluded filter, what are the symptoms of a fuel filter that needs to be replaced?

Mini states it never needs replaced, but we all know that's not true. I recently bought a new one for my 2004 S. Got a nice do it yourself PM me and I will give you the link

We tend to just recommend replacing the fuel filter kit at 100k miles.
