dome light buttons

When cleaning up the car I noticed one of my dome light buttons had fallen off. You know, it's that little triangle shaped piece of grey plastic that you push to turn the light on. I looked up the part number on RealOEM and searched.

$16-18 + shipping for a tiny piece of plastic ?!?! Are you kidding me?

Does anyone know of a less expensive source?

Maybe you could find someone who's parting one out on NAM's marketplace?

Bet the $20 or so is mostly to cover overhead...bet 90%+ of the plastic parts like this get junked when a car is parted out.....

Man, those little missing dome light buttons drove me nuts.

I eventually gave up looking, and instead of buying 2 uber-expensive little buttons for about $30, I just bought an entire replacement dome light unit for about $40 at ECS.

It replaced a slightly yellowed one, and got me my buttons back, so I'm happy.

Thanks AGR for the mention

Here are the parts if you need them: the whole overhead might be the better choice if you need two of them. There is the gray version and black ( anthracite headliner ) version, just so you know whats parts you need.

Mine broke on my 2006 the first week I had the car. Warranty covered it. I try to not use them unless absolutely necessary, and instead use the spot lights up by the windshield and rearview mirror.
