2003 S model antenna questions
I have a 03 S model and I bought as a builder. I have almost all the bugs worked out and am in the process of installing a complete Alpine system.
I pulled the head unit stereo out today and to my surprise, No stereo harness or antenna cable.
Worked my way to the back of the car and complete antenna is there with no Antenna?
Where is this cable routed in the car and does any one know of a replacement?
Looks like I will need the whole antenna cable from roof to receiver.
Also, Looks like there is a power lead to the base of the antenna?
Does anyone have a wiring schematic of this?
Thanks in advance.

The anteana has power fed UP the cable from the stock stereo (that is why it has a nonstandard plug...needs a powered adaptor)...I know latter cars (2005 refresh gen1) had a signal booster/second flat glass mount antenna by the rear pax window...think the power was always there for the gps antenna... But many changes occurred in just a couple years...
Real OEM.com will show you the parts, and the layout basedvon production date/Vin...not a true skematic...
Most folks that go to aftermarket radios (from what I have read) need a powered adaptor for the plug....just using an adaptor results in near 0 reception.....

Thanks for the help.
Here is what I ended up doing.
Since most of the antenna components where missing, I removed the the antenna, took it apart and removed the circuit board and wires, Then soildered in a Motorolla style pigtail. New motorolla style cable to new head unit..
I have bypassed all the fancy stuff as I should not need it.
Anybody done This ? or just added a regular antenna?
