Plasti Dip MINI Wheels
So, after my YT (Youtube) certification in DIPPIN I took the plunge and decided to go ahead a give this "Dippin" a shot on my stock 16' Alloy mini rims.
I paid 5.98$ a can for the Plasti Dip White at Home Depot (6 Pack): 35.88
Painters tape, medium adhesion Home Depot: 5.98 (1 roll)
Plasti Dip, 1 can, Black at Home Depot (for chrome delete from grill) 5.98$
So i commenced the project, following (DipyourCar YT videos) and now 3 hours into it...ALL I CAN SAY is yes it works GREAT,and is as simple to use and remove as it STATES....
I will be posting before and after shots, i am painting my last wheel now...

Here is the FINISHED product, not to bad for 6$ a rim...will do some touch ups later...
I hope everyone likes, the best part, these wheels aren't destroyed, or permanent. Plasti Dip can be removed fairly easily, but also is weather and chemical resistant, durable, and a rubber coating. Which means no cracking or peeling.......and yes, the rims can be power washed...

Dipping the wheels was the first mod I did. Six months later, they are starting to degrade. I am not sure about power washing them. You may want to be careful with that. The brake dust is terrible. I use optimum power clean on them and the dust just drops off. There is some residue left over, but after six months without touch-ups that's bound to happen.
Will update with a current picture tomorrow

Brake Dust
Dip Your Car .com has a really good brake dust remover. It stinks pretty bad when you're applying it, but I works wonders. It usually gets it all out with one application, depending on how long its been since the last wash of course.
I ended up getting a sprayer and changed my roof from white to glossy black. I'm very happy with the results.

Wheels are very tricky to get good coats on them for proper removal. With different angles of some wheels you may get a good thick coat on one section but then too thin on another. It's always best to have the wheels off the car when spraying. Also having a HVLP is very advantageous for finish and ease. With the correct amount of coats power washing should never be an issue after the proper cure time.

I'm not sure what may have happens in your experience? Maybe the wheels were not prepped just so? I have done my wheels, which are S-winders and terribly difficult to get and even coat on, about 3 different times. I have them just plain non-dipped wheels now so I have removed everything I have done to them with no problems. All came off extremely clean with very little residue to clean up.
Dip your car .com sells a product that reliquifiys PlastiDip for ease of removal or patch work. It works pretty well. There is also GOOF off, that they also sell, and it works pretty good for overspray and small stuff.
In short I'm sorry to hear you had trouble with your wheels :-/ keep practicing and I'm confident it'll work out for you.
When I use the cans, I usually make sure the can is warm, not cold or hot. I usually made sure to shake the cans well for 2 min before every coat. I also set the cans in hot water between coats so it didn't get too cool in between sprays. Maybe overkill, but I've never had issues either. Sometimes things just take practice too. Hopefully you give it another go and have a good experience. It really is a good product. Fun to mess around with. Cheap to purchase.

@Grizld700: Excellent tips, which I over shot while doing this write-up. So far I like my rims, and yes they get dirty from brake dust, but nothing SIMPLE GREEN and water can't take care off. Now remember it all depends on how and where you drive your mini.
I am currently doing my grille right now as we speak. I permanently removed my driving lights for this mod, and kind of like them off. I will be posting pictures of the can of plasti dip, and some in process pictures.
Also next week I will be posting pictures of before and after of my wheel cleaning. I did by the way take a car wash pressure washer to my rims and BOY was I scared , but as advertised, and once cured...that plasti dip didn't tear nor any sort of damage to the wheel...I can say that I didn"t put any Simple Green on it (RIMS) that time though. So when I post these wheel cleaning pictures, they will be raw process photos. Just to show the quality, and functionality of plasti dip.

Hey guys,
I cleaned my wheels for the first time today. Instead of using regular car soap I made a mix.
I got a windex bottle, filled half of it with water, then filled the rest with vinegar, and last added some car soap. The brake dust came off so easy I couldn't believe it
Oh, and the dip kept it's bright white look I may have missed a spot here and there, but still very happy with the result.
