Adjust height of facelift R53 xenon headlights

I have an 06 with factory xenon projectors and I want to adjust them up just a little bit. Can anyone show me how with a picture or two?

I don't have pictures but there are two screws about 4 inches long on each headlight. One is located on the inner and the other on the outer. They have little slits to allow you to use a flat tip screwdriver to adjust. The INNER screw adjusts up and down. The outers adjust left to right. I just adjusted mines tonight! Hope this helps.

Thank you!

I assume when you mean inner and outer that when face the front of the car and I raise the hood up the *inner* for the driver side would be the screw closest to the passenger side and vice versa, yes? I am really hoping someone can just take one example picture and point out the height screw. I am very afraid to eff this up like I did in my first car.

That is correct. I have provided a picture of a passenger headlight housing. The hexon screw circled in green is the one that you want to adjust up & down. I found the easiest way to adjust the light was to use a garage and use the ceiling (since the headlights are facing up with the hood fully opened) to help watch the beam move up or down while you adjust. Hope this clears up some confusion....

Just wanted to thank you for the pic and info, actulsiz! This thread helped me re-aim my headlights, which have been cocked way off to the right since I bought the car (SEVEN years ago!).

I used a B&D electric screwdriver with a socket on the end to make the adjustments with the hood open and the headlights pointing up at the open garage door above. I used chalk to make the center of each headlight pattern first so I could tell which way I was moving the beams. It took two or three adjustments to get them dialed in, but they are finally spot-on!

Sorry to hijack this thread, but Is there a way of upgrading an 02 R53 with factory Xenons to a 06 R53 factory Xenon Projector headlamps?

TIA!

Yes, The factory lights from the pre 7/2004 cars with Factory Xenon will swap to he 7/2004+ cars with Factory Xenon. You will have to swap over the headlight washers and the covers.
