Anybody know how to replace the front fender (you know, the part between the door and the wheel opening/hood where the side marker light goes)? I had a close encounter with a wayward deer the other night - I didn't hit the deer, actually, it hit me. It rolled over the bonnet/windshield then got up and ran away. I initially thought the car was fine, but then discovered that it had wrinkled the aforementioned fender panel. I'd like to replace it myself, but I can't seem to find any instructions on its removal. I'm hoping it doesn't require any welding... Anybody able to help me?

 

No welding

One bolt at the bottom--under the rocker extension
One bolt under the scuttle
One nut that you will see if you remove the plastic piece near the hood and look thru the hood hinge pocket towards the door
One under the plastic windshield trim==WARNING the plastic will likely break when you try to remove it--adds $40 to the cost

Actually simple but access can be difficult. Diagram does not show the screw under the windshield trim (maybe because mine is an 03--maybe newer models don't have this screw.

 

Great, thanks! A couple of questions, though.... By scuttle do you mean the side marker piece with the light? And by windshield trim you mean the exterior A-post cover?
