O2 sensors / ECU / Harness problems???

I am having an intersting issue. and im not sure where its comeing from.

a while back i had replace both o2 sensors, they worked great for a week. then both died... 0v on both i got them from rock auto at like 90 each. and was way to late to return them. i thought maybe they were both duds, but both?

i put the originals back in everything works great.

fast forward>>>>> i change my exhasut system. header back.
OBX header, Magnaflow cat, Alta catback;

I buy one new "genuine mini" o2 from ECS for only the front sensor, works great voltages switch back and forth two weeks later dead... 0v. this happend on a saterday night, and on monday going to work it starts working again half way there.

i go home clear the code, and im back at a 0v and no response from the sensor. i drive around for 3 or 5 miles and it starts working again.

and every time i clear codes from the ecu the o2 sensor stops working. for a short period of time. usually takes a few miles. and stay working.

i can not keep thouging money at this, it's pissing me off. any ideas?

i am almost ready to say screw it and drop it off at a dealer and be like fix this.

I would check the Oxygen sensor connection from the sensor plug, sounds like its intermediate. I don't understand why both would not receive signal. I would also check the electrical connection in the harness from the oxygen sensor.

I have seen small rodents like to chew on the MINI wiring harness and such. You might have to have MINI read the system for faults, they can read more in-depth. Like PDC sensor faults and such.

Thanks

ill check the wirring on the engine harness side. the wires on the o2 sensor look in perfect conidition. and the connectors them selfs look ok. i cleaned them out too just in case.

and if this problem persists im going ot have to have mini look at it. im sure their diagnostic computer is a heck of a lot better than my Bavarian technic System.

just an update.. i dont know what the issue was, but it seems to have gone away and everything works just fine now. even when you clear codes and reset adaptations.
