1. How do I replace the fog lamp lens in a 2002 Mini Cooper? I know how to replace the bulb. When I have the rim well off, can I just remove the lamp's housing?
2. One of a vent's little rotating valves (the part that regulates the airflow of a single vent) has fallen off. How do I get it back on?

Hello,

1. The lens are bonded to the housing. If you have the older pre 6/2002 housing, you will have to convert to the post 6/2002 housings, if its cracked of damaged. . See below about the bulbs and split year.

2. Think its works it way back on from side to side, do you have a pic?

To get to the fog light bulbs you will have to get in the wheel well , toward the front, and under the plastic panel. Then at the bottom, you will see the fog light, dependent on production month/year of your 2002 will determine the option.



Pre 6/2002 is just a twist quarter turn and pull.

If you have the early production fog lights and they have not been replaced with newer : 6/2002 was the year split. Pre 6/2002 with the original fog light housings have the H7 bulb. Post 6/2002 have the H11 bulbs.

Picture of the newer 6/2002+ housing: Its twist and pull also but with the larger H11 bulb. Sometimes the corrosion and age makes them a little hard to come out.

Those housing are the only ones available , the older ones have been superseded to these.

Thank you for all of the information, ECS! I will take a photo of the vent cap in a mo'. I will also post a picture of the fog lamp for further clarification. I will be glad to replace the bulb, but I also need to replace the glass lens that covers the lamp. Also, the DRL glass is cracked. Can I buy just these glass pieces? I will grab my mobile and get some pictures.

The glass is broken and you cannot just replace the glass it the whole housing. You will have to change it out to the H11 set up if you are pre 6/2002 , if it has been changed or you are posrt 6/2002 . They its just a quick change out. Looks like they have had better days, I would replace the other side the match also.

New Fog lights housing include the H11 bulbs. ( check out pics )

" The DRL glass is cracked. Can I buy just these glass pieces?" Its not a DRL light but the front marker / turn signal. Bumper mounted right above the fog lights. They come as a whole piece, again would suggest to replace in pairs from all the damage and pitting.

We do have an upgrade LED kit for those front marker lights. These replace the wedge bulbs located on n the outside that come on with the marker lights. These set right beside the front turn signal bulbs in that same housing.
