Control arm bushing gap photo

After cleaning the Mini today I noticed there seems to be a gap between the collar and control arm bushing.

Is it about to pop out or can I wait a little bit longer before replacing?

I don't think there is any way for it to pop out unless the ball joints are broken or the arm is bent.

By the way, that bushing just presses into the mount. So if there is a gap it's probably due to a worn inner ball joint. I'd plan on replacing the bushing, the inner, and the outer/lower ball joints at the same time. It's all easy enough once you get the lower-arm off the car.

I wouldn't wait too long, this must be wreaking havoc with your handling!

Handling is spot on, does not drift and zero vibration from the wheels.
