I have not seen the chart for August production in a while. My car is at the dealer, so we will call it delivered. How many of the August production cars are now in the hands of the owner's? Are the California people still waiting? Lets update the chart!

The OL status page also still shows Frieda as Enroute. However, if you go to the "Order Details" link on that infernally outdated tracking page, it will show your EDD under your VIN.

What does yours say?

Still in Transit to CA
Mine is still in transit to CA. It has a production date of 8/18, sailed on 8/25, and according to my MA should arrive in CA on 9/16. Tack on 2 weeks to get to Utah and I am looking at an estimated delivery Oct 1st. Hopefully soon enough to get a couple of weeks of motoring before I have to invest in some snow tires. It is a good thing I am going on vacation in a couple of weeks to take my mind off of the waiting. When I get back, my PW/B MC should be at the dealer waiting for me to take her home. :smile: :smile:

Anyone else scheduled to leave on the Liberty today? Pete was showing as booked on that vessel, but now when I put my VIN in the WW site it says they have no info! I hope it is just a computer glitch.

My CR/W MCS is on the Liberty. Set sail today with a Sept 15 dock in Charleston. Showed up on the WW site this evening so check yours again. My indicates already loaded!

Jerry- Hope you are safe. My SIL & MIL are in Tampa and we are booked on 10/2 cruise....I feel your pain, but not your fear! Keep safe!

I'll go try again, but I just checked the owners lounge and it give a EDD of 9/11! I am so confused! Maybe I did make the Freedom and that is why I no longer show up on the WW site (wishful thinking)? Strange that they no longer have record of my VIN.

The Blizzaks from Bridgestone and the Michelin Pilot Alpine PA2 got very good reviews. I will probably go with the Michelin's 195/55 15" tires. They seem to perform well in all conditions that I am likely to find here in Salt Lake. They handle well in dry, wet, slush, and snowy conditions. I am going to have to get used to front wheel drive, my last vehicle was a Jeep Wrangler which never had problems with the winter. If you are interested, go to tirerack.com and search their databases for tires and reviews.

How did the removal of the cupholder go? Is it a clean, easy removal? An easy DIY job?

Easy DYI job if you have a size 20 star screw driver.

Remove the 2 screws on the left side of the post. The glovebox must be opened to access the top screw. Both screws are long and once out, the whole thing is off.

Still windy here but no damage to the house. 5 houses down they lost all the shingles and many trees down.

Went to the Coast Guard site to find the call sign for the Liberty. If I found the right one, it's WRYX. It's not showing on the tracking charts right now but I will keep checking. Looks like Hurricane Ivan will be in the area around docking time. Right now, it will visit Florida next weekend on it's current track.

No EDD listed on the Mini site yet. Perhaps in a couple of days since it still lists my car as Awaiting Transport while the WW site lists it as loaded on the Liberty that left about 12 hours ago.

Hope your SIL and MIL are ok. Some bad storms went Tampa way.

The Charleston Port Schedule shows the Liberty arriving and offloading on Sept 14th

It appears that 120 Minis are onboard. See the complete list at the WW site, search by Booking Number.

My car was loaded at 4:23pm GMT on the 5th.

Voyage number is EB423-LIB

If all goes well, I could have my car less than 3 weeks from it's date of birth. Hope this info is helpful to those on the Liberty.

Hopefully mine made it yesterday (9/5) to the VPC in California as expected.

As to the question about VPC/VDC I have heard it both ways... Vehicle Processing Center and Vehicle Distribution Center. As far as I see it they both work because Processing and Distributing is what they do. So just pick your favorit one and go with it! :smile:

Hope that yours did get to the CA VDC yesterday! Check your OL tracking page - mine showed up at VDC within a day of it actually haven gotten there. Probably the most timely status change I've had!

Since MINI uses VDC, I guess that's what I'll go with unless someone can explain a difference to me. THANKS
